Integrative Approach: I use an integrated approach to help you find you passion and purpose in life. In addition to coach training and real life experience as a consultant, entrepreneur and an executive, I am trained in Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP), Gestalt psychotherapy and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). If this sounds like alphabet soup to you, just know that these are merely tools that I use. I tailor my approach to each client, sounding out your strengths to find a path that is true for you. It’s not only what you bring to the table that’s important but finding a career that suits your suite of unique strengths is the key to satisfaction and fulfilment.
Process: One process that is typical of every coaching situation I am involved in is an adaptation of the Creative Problem Solving (CPS) model. First I survey the situation you are in, I do fact finding, then identifies and clarifies problems and with them, opportunities. Next is idea finding, the fun part, which is similar to brain storming. Solution finding is the convergence of all that comes before it, distilling everything you have explored down into realistic and do-able solutions. Action finding is the final step which become your action steps.
Bio: I earned my Master’s Degree at the University of Toronto and undergraduate degree at McGill University and Columbia University. I completed the three year training program in leadership and psychotherapy at the Gestalt Institute of Toronto and lead several workshops and coach training classes. I am currently running a men’s group in Toronto. I have fifteen years experience as a communications consultant to major international corporations including Reuters Information Services and Thomson Newspapers.
